BECOME A MEMBER
Are you of African heritage and living in Norfolk or further afield? If so, the African Choir of Norfolk is currently welcoming new members. All generations are welcome to apply.
How to join: Simply get in touch with Choir Director Anna Mudeka in the first instance by filling out the form below.
Joining fees: There is no fee. This is made possible through our supporters. The Choir and its producers feel strongly that it must remain an Open Free to Access Project, available for people from all backgrounds.
2021 to 2025 & beyond: The remit for the choir is to celebrate all 54 countries of Africa through a series of annual gala concerts at the Autumn Festival of Norfolk, Norwich Cathedral, as well appearing at various other events each year. The choir will rehearse all year round, practicing existing repertoire as well as working on new material.

We are so proud to be part of The African Choir of Norfolk.
For us, it's more than just singing, it's therapy and connection. From novice beginners to professional singers, our rehearsals are fun yet supportive and inspiring to everyone in the Choir. Checking in and out with each other is at the heart of our Artistic Director Anna Mudeka's practice, who encourages us to express how we feel through song and chatting. Whether you are feeling down or want to share your week's achievements, we all know that whatever it is we come to the rehearsal with, we will feel uplifted by the time we leave.
